Jeremy Zawodnys' recent writing on portable data got me thinking more about portability of computers in general. It also reminded me of a recent blog item mentioning disconnecting the "desktop" from the PC ala the Sun Ray. While looking for something on Sourceforge I noticed the Flash Linux homepage, this take things one step further disconnecting your OS from the hardware, so your favourite OS, office software and data can follow you around in a few grams of flash card.
